The Project

Our Mission & Vision

The Solid-State Fusion (SSF) website is a project of the Anthropocene Institute to educate scientists, students, investors, and journalists on the emerging field of SSF.

Our Mission

Education & Awareness

  • Provide a reliable, concise, and timely feed of SSF news
  • Distribute new research suitable for graduate level readers, undergraduates, the lay public, policymakers and business leaders.
  • Maintain a Solid-State Fusion through FAQ with staff actually responding to new questions.
  • Press relations support, making independent experts available to the press to help evaluate newsworthy claims in the field.
  • Encourage  students and professionals to pursue scientific and commercial opportunities in SSF
  • Expand awareness of conferences and events that align with SSF
  • Organize current news from academia and industry

Connection & Community

  • Build bridges between the different scientific and engineering disciplines
  • Act as a hub to the different schools of thought, send traffic to vetted and filtered sites that we view add value to the community
  • Resources mapping the space

Humanity needs dreamers and doers. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and working globally, the Anthropocene Institute connects entrepreneurs, investors, and institutions. We are comprised of scientists, engineers, communicators, marketers, thought leaders, and advocates — all pulling together toward a common goal: make Earth abundant for all and sustainable for decades to come. Around the world, we mobilize resources towards promising technologies, educate the public and investment communities about potential breakthroughs, inform private investors and journalists, and inject hope and positivity into everything we do.
