Dr. Michael McKubre, a pioneering electrochemist and lifelong experimentalist, passed away in August 2025 after a battle with cancer.
As former Director of the Energy Research Center at SRI International, he was admired for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and commitment to using science to improve the world. Over the course of nearly 40 years in the field of LENR research, he advanced our understanding of fusion through meticulous, insightful experimentation.
His connection to and respect for Martin Fleischmann led him to enter the field at its controversial outset and he went on to become one of its most respected voices. To honor his legacy, we’ve compiled an archive of all publicly available presentations, talks, and interviews he gave over the decades, ensuring his insights remain accessible to current and future researchers.
In his own words: “Collectively, we have the answer, individually, none of us does! A lot of the needed information is out there. Some of it is concealed. We need to stop keeping secrets and stop ignoring or forgetting previous work. As a community, we have the capacity to resolve this matter and do a lot of good for science and the world.”
May his work continue to guide and inspire the generations that follow.
